Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Karina finished Hermitage Art History School as well as St. Petersburg State University, majoring in English and French linguistics and literary translations. Karina moved to LA in 1992, where she graduated from UCLA in Art History. In June of 199?, she began to work with A&E on the renowned documentary HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY, doing art and historical research. Since then, Karina has worked in all areas of the entertainment industry: production, PR, casting etc. with companies like Actuality Productions, Levine Communications, O'Haver & Co. In the fall of 1999, Karina was accepted into the Producing Program of the American Film Institute where she successfully produced five short narrative films. Karina is an honorary recipient of the American Express Scholarship, awarded on behalf of the Academy Award Nominee Brenda Blethyn. Her thesis project "Ubuntu's Wounds" was awarded the prestigious Martin Ritt Fellowship for its social and moral content.
